Lost and Karen Kingsbury

I don't normally watch tv, unless it is a Saturday night and the girls and I are doing homework and watching a crazy lifetime or hallmark movie. However, I do weekly watch Dance Moms and Grey's Anatomy. I usually don't get to watch Dance Moms till it comes on hulu because Tuesdays are mine and David's date nights and he refuses to watch it with me. Ashley and I usually try and watch Grey's every week we are free. Other than those two shows I don't really have time for tv. Until David got me hooked on Lost. It hasn't been on tv for a while so when the two of us hang out we usually watch a couple episodes of Lost. It's lame really, but the show is so good. I'm only season 1 and episode 13, but I can't wait to finish it. I hear that it is one of those endings that drive you crazy and make you mad, but I want to continue watching.

Karen Kingsbury is my favorite author of all time. I love her books. She is a Christian fictional author, and her stories always drag me in. I am currently reading a story about a girl named Bailey. Bailey sort of has herself in a love triangle. She is dating one guy who is the typical romantic. He was a wild partier, but after meeting Bailey he changed the way he lived and became a Christian. However, there is Cody who lived with her family when he played football for her dad. Cody lived a hard life, but with the help of Bailey's family he is now glorifying God through coaching football. Cody ran from Bailey because he felt like he wasn't good enough for her, but he still loves her. It sounds so lame, but it is such a great book. I highly recommend for all those girls who are looking for a tamed version of Nickolas Sparks!

Animal Crackers in My Soup!

This post has nothing to do with animal crackers being in my soup. I just thought I would blog about the randomness of my life these past couple of days so I thought the title was approriate. As you know my computer has basically fallen apart, so I had to cave and buy a new one. The thought of spending so much money on something I already had, hurt like a splinter. Although,  I kind of like having a new laptop that I can actually use comfortablly and without stressing that it will fall apart at any given moment.

Last Thursday was glorious. It wa absoultly beautiful without a cloud in the sky. Unfortunately, I had to work 12-8. I got lunch at 4 and decided to have myself a picnic in the grassy area in front of my car. It was a great day for Pal's sweet tea, homemade baked Zita, and the word of God! I probably looked super silly in my work uniform sitting on a snowflake blanket, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Top Nine

I have been completely slacking on here, but what else is new. Life just gets the best of you and I feel like no matter what I have to do I'm always busy. I couldn't decide what I wanted to blog on, so I decided to blog on the top nine stories of the past month instead of choosing one thing to blog on. They aren't in any particular order of importance, but here they are.

1. At the beginning of the semester we had an 80s Skate Night with the ministry team. It was super fun to dress all crazy, and I hadn't skated in a really long time. I was sadly sore the next morning, but it was worth it.  Plus we got free Barbs, and I'm always up for some free Barbs.
2. I pinned it and did it! Ashley found a recipe on pinterest for chicken caesar sandwiches in the crockpot.  You can find the recipe Here and it is so yummy. I didn't really follow the recipe to a t, but it tasted really good and lasted for a couple of meals. I would start small on the dressing and then you can add more if you need it.

3.Chelsea Morrison and I got to have lunch about three weeks ago. We didn't hang out for long, but we had a really good time catching up over McAlister's. I am very blessed to have her as a friend, and the bond that we share is truly a blessing from God. I love how quickly we were able to share with one another even though we hadn't seen each other in a long time. We are going to try our best to make this a monthly meeting.
4. I have a sweet baby niece now. She was born very early in the morning on February the 11th.  She is the most beautiful little girl in the entire world. I don't get to see her until March the 3rd during my spring break. I am so excited to see her and C, and play with them.  I love this picture so much. She looks very angry about having to take those pictures, and she looks like she is ready to fight the next person who snaps a picture. Too cute!!!
5. Last Tuesday was Valentine's Day and for some reason I really wanted David to get me flowers and have the floral department give them to me once I got to work.He did just that, and he didn't have any hints from me or anyone else. They were beautiful and it was so very thoughtful. He also got me some amazing strawberry cupcakes with strawberry icing. He certainly knows the key to my heart.
6. I finished reading through the books of the bible at the end of the year last year, and I started over at the beginning of the year. I am trying to do something different with my quiet time this time around. I try and journal about what I am reading. For someone who is as spastic as I am this has been really beneficial to me. It is also nice to be able to go back and review what I've been learning.

7. I have watched this youtube video three times in the past two weeks and  I have cried every single time from laughing so hard. I highly recommend it. So funny!!!

8. I ordered a new computer this week. My dad has always told me that I'm like a bull in a china shop, and unfortunately it's very true. My screen is about to come unattached to the bottom have of my computer. The hinges are currently super glued and duck taped together. However, it just isn't going to make it much longer. In fear of losing assignments and pictures and such I broke down and bought a new laptop. My read book is currently holding my screen up so I can type comfortably.
 9. David and I celebrated our two year anniversary on Friday. It was a great day of just spending time together laughing, eating, and looking at animals at the zoo. It was a nice day to get away from school and work and spend time with one another.
