Two weeks ago I went out to visit Nathan at school. I was so excited about this trip and worked hard that week to get things done so I could enjoy my visit. It also made it nice that Chelsea was going down to visit Justin as well. I went to pick her up right after school. I left at 3:45...a record!!! We made pretty good timing despite the traffic because of construction and when we finally made it there we took a trip to Steak and Shake with the boys.
Nathan has quickly learned that I'm a planner, and I
sometimes really like to take charge :). I kept trying to plan things even though I told him it was his week to take charge. He didn't think I could sit back and enjoy the ride. In order to prove him wrong I told him that I wanted a program for the weekend. Everytime we talked on the phone I reminded him that I expected to see a detailed program when I got to his apartment. After steak and shake we went to his apartment and I indeed walked in to see a program of the weekend events, and it made my day! I'm not one for corny things, but this was just corny enough to be sweet, thoughtful, and funny to impress. After attempting to watch "O Brother Where Art Thou" we watch some Duck Dynasty before heading to Tra and Aly's. (So thankful they let me sleep at their house so I could visit Nathan) That morning Nathan came over to make biscuits and bacon and while the boys worked on things around the apartment, Aly and I watched
How I Met Your Mother. After the boys got done working we took a fun jeep ride with the top down. It was a gorgeous Saturday, and a first time for me.
We went to an area park and walked around..well Nathan tried to call in ducks..but a fun time was still had. We headed back and Nathan and I went to his apartment to watch the UT game and get ready for supper. We had plans to walk around campus and play tennis but ended up being lazy. Nathan cooked a yummy supper of baked chicken and veggies with sweet tea of course. He also surprised me with my two favorites gummy bears and peanut butter m & ms, which I shared with him. I introduced him to the movie BIG Green before heading back to Tra and Aly's. They introudced to a game Tra's family has always played. Nathan and I got really dilarious after playing which resulted in lots of laughter.
Nathan picked me up that morning and we went to a local donut shop and got donuts for breakfast before heading back to his apartment for a lazy morning. He made one of my favoirte meals for lunch, roast, potatoes, and carrots before I had to head back home. Such a great relazing weekend tha twe both needed!
