Yesterday was absolute gorgeous, and for once I didn't have to work on a pretty day. I normally have class all day on Wednesdays, but they were all cancelled but one. Wahoo!!! I didn't do much before class, but I did clean our food pantry. After my one class for the day David and I went to the park and walked around and passed frisbee. I have a love/hate relationship with frisbee. I cannot throw it to save my life, and I get super frustrated with myself. It doesn't help that David is basically a beast at it, but oh well. Then we went wish Rita's on a coupon I had for buy one get one free custard. Most of the time we share ice cream and we have very different tastes in desserts. He is a chocolate freak and I am more of a vanilla, cookie or cheesecake fan. We usually struggle to compromise, but of course the one chance we have to get our own ice cream we decide on the exact same thing. After ice cream I came home to attempt some homework before I went to eat with Mariska. I hadn't seen Mariska since last year on spring break, and it was nice to catch up with her. She is working a big girl job here in JC now, so hopefully our next meeting won't be a year from now. It was a bright Sunshiny day and I wish everyday was full of sunshine and BOGO ice creams!

Spring Break
Last week was my spring break, and it was probably the best yet. As you know, my brother has a new sweet baby girl so last October I made plans to go see them during my spring break to help out. I left last Saturday at 9 am, after a yummy breakfast with David at IHOP. He took me to the airport that morning and bought my meal, pretty sweet! I flew from home to Atlanta and then to Jason's. I have flown twice before, but both times for church trips so the leader took care of everything. It went very smoothly, despite my nerves. I enjoyed people watching in the airport, and spent 9 dollars on a chicken wrap and a vitamin water. I got there in time to hang out with C for a while before he went to bed. I was so excited to see him. He had a big smile on his face when I came in the door. He smiles all the time, so it probably had nothing to do with recognizing his Aunt Hannah, but we can pretend. Saturday Traci and I took C to the grocery store and got a movie, but other than that it was a pretty low key night. My mornings were usually the same with Cwaking up and then putting him in the bed with me for a while. Some days he slept, but most of the time he didn't go back to sleep. I would have much rather he slept for a while longer, but I loved getting cuddle time in with that sweet baby. Then I would give him his milk, and we would read stories. For such a active little boy he loves when you read to him. Some mornings we would read 6 or 7 stories, which usually included Bob. The rest of the day would be filled with eating, playing, eating, bob, sleeping, eating, playing outside, eating, playing, eating, and bed time. Usually I got to spend some one on one time with Baby R when C was sleeping or wanting mommy time. She gets cuter everyday, and even though she sleeps a lot she is a nice cuddle buddy for nap time. We did get to go to the mall one day to shop for dedication outfits for them, and to let C play on the playground in the mall. We also got to go to the park and play for a while. C has no fear, which made Aunt Hannah really nervous. Not only did I get to spend time with my babies I got to spend time with Jason and Traci. Jason was at work most of the day, so Traci and I got to talk a lot. I really enjoyed our talks, and I am so thankful that I have a Godly sister in law that I can turn to. I did get to spend some time with Jason one on one which was nice too. He took me to Buffalo Wild Wings and Friendly's, yummy! Saturday I had to fly home which was super sad, and despite losing my plane ticket for ten minutes inside my shoe it went smoothly. Spring break 2012 was a success and the best yet.

Unpredictable
In East Tennessee I think that it is safe to say that our weather is far from predictable. There literally has been weeks where one day it is 70 degrees and the next day there be snow on the ground. It has been a relatively warm winter which makes the weather of East Tennessee even more unpredictable. Of course there is a weather channel to watch to consider the weather, but basically the weather is pretty unpredictable. We've recently had a string of tornadoes roll through Tennessee. Tornadoes are basically unheard of in February. It has been absolutely beautiful this winter, although this could be very frustrating at times. I like my winter, I enjoy watching the snow fall on the trees and mountains and I enjoy wearing cute scarves and hats. I often find myself getting super frustrated when its gorgeous outside and it is January or February. Yet, when I let go of my frustrations I can allow myself to think about the glory of our Heavenly Father through this unpredictable weather. He is so powerful and mighty and sometimes we fail to see that through our frustrations with the weather. He is so good that we don't even know what He is going to do with the weather. Like the weather, he is very unpredictable, and this is just one of his many characteristics that make him even greater. He is all knowing and although we often feel like we have no control, He has control of it all, even the up and down weather of East Tennessee.
